A Family Legacy in Construction

Drake Contracting, Inc. is a third-generation commercial general contractor headquartered in Clovis, California. The Drake family has been building in the Central Valley since the 1980s, and Drake Contracting, Inc. has been operating as the current entity since 2000, serving businesses, communities, and congregations across the region.

What started as a family trade has grown into a full-service commercial construction firm, but the values haven't changed. Steve and Sean Drake still lead every project personally, bringing the same hands-on work ethic and attention to detail that built this company's reputation.

We don't believe in corporate layers or faceless project management. When you hire Drake Contracting, you get the owners, on the phone, on the jobsite, and invested in your project's success from day one through final walkthrough.

Meet the Drakes

The family behind every project, bringing decades of commercial construction experience to the Central Valley.

Steve Drake

President

Steve Drake runs the company's day-to-day operations and has more than 25 years in construction, on and off the jobsite. His work covers business management, project design, estimating, budgeting and contracting, along with on-site construction management. He works directly with architects, engineers, developers, inspectors and city officials.

Sean Drake

Vice President

Sean Drake leads outside sales and estimating and has more than 20 years in construction, on and off the jobsite. His work covers project supervision, estimating, contracting, tenant improvements and on-site construction management. He works directly with architects, engineers and city officials.

Our Values

Integrity First

We say what we mean and stand behind what we quote. We price transparently and document every change in writing.

Hands-On Ownership

You work with Steve and Sean directly, on the phone and on the jobsite.

Quality Without Compromise

We take pride in quality work and in the details of every finished space.

Clear Communication

You'll always know where your project stands. Regular updates, responsive answers, and honest timelines. Because surprises belong at parties, not on construction sites.

Locally Committed

We live, work, and raise our families in the Central Valley. Our reputation here matters to us. Every project is a reflection of our name in the community.

Long-Term Relationships

We aim to earn your next project by how we handle this one.
